I recieved my master's degree in Biochemistry from the Univesity of the Basque Country in 1999 and, after two years working, I took a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the same university. In 2004 I earned the bachelor's degree and in 2008 the PhD in Computer Science.
Since 2011 I am lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of the University of the Basque Country.
Currently, I am supervising several PhD students researching in topics covering the analysis of reproducibility, study of intratumoral heterogeneity or statistical comparison of algorithms.
I am also member of Zientziaren Giltzak Elkartea, an association dedicated to scientific dissemination.

Currently, I am the coordiantor of the Master in Computational Engineering and Intelligent Systems at the University of the Basque Country. I am also the coordinator the Aula Innovae Gela, a room funded by Innovae and aimed at offering the students a place to work with extended reality technologies.

ACREDITACIÓN is a short film we produced in our research group. It is a FICTION (;P) story about the pressure to publish in the academic career and how this pressure forces researchers to do anything to get publications and progress in their career.
